Latest Sarah Palin smear: Sarah called Obama “Sambo”!

What the hell is a “Sambo”? Is it like the “N” word? Ninja? All the posters at MediaTakeOut.com, the most visited black website on the internet, seem to think that this smear is true. That is typical of liberal Obama supporters who do not have the true facts.
This crap is spreading around the internet, so it’s time to once again debunk another Sarah Palin smear!
L.A. Progressive is “reporting” that a waitress overheard Sarah Palin on her cell phone saying, “So Sambo beat the bitch!”, the “bitch” referring to Hillary Clinton. L.A. Progressive does not even post the name of the restaurant! But, the name of the waitress is Lucille. Alright, what is her last name? Did “Lucille” tell this story to a reputable newspaper source? Did “Lucille” serve Sarah her food? What did Sarah purchase at the restaurant? Is there a receipt for the food Sarah purchased? My guess is that no one can answer those questions.
Little Green Footballs is reporting that the Daily Kos ran with this smear, then DK took it down, but another smear blog with the same story took its place on DK.
Again, what the hell is a “Sambo”?

These types of petty smears won’t get passed the kook websites these days. Even the liberal media has limits now, especially after Dan Rather got fired for putting out an obviously false smear.
um, I am a Senator Obama supporter, but I do not believe this is true. That being said, EVEN if it were, I’d ignore it and call it ”dirty lies and politics” I think I just realized that this is a conservative site too, but I do like to read it from time to time. Thank you.

The thing is, Amanda, is that Sarah never said it.
Sarah never made these comments.
If true, this would be on the mainstream news, however, it’s on far-left liberal kook-fringe websites, which means that it is not true.

Okay I guess you all are so young you really don’t know what “Sambo” refers to. Wow, us boomers are getting old!!! ; )
Back in the day there was a folk tale called “Little Black Sambo” — I can’t remember it very well but it had to do with a little black boy and a tiger I believe - Sambo was chased around and around and around a tree until there was only a puddle left…..or something like that.
It wasn’t really written as a derogatory story, just one of those 50’s naive things we read not realizing how we were propogating prejudice. Like the Dick and Jane books with no black folks in them.
Living in the South I’ve heard people called a little black Sambo my whole life - even today, but mostly just the really, really old folks.
Just one more thing….my husband and I are both high school teachers in NC. I can tell you we’ve heard much, much worse than that from our high school kids in reference to Obama’s race - all white with very red necks. You would be appalled.
We are Obama supporters - as most of our faculty members are.
And therein lies the problme Kathy: Most of the faculty in your school are beholden to the Establishment Media dictating to them whom to vote for because they have chosen not to think for themselves but instead repeat the MoveOn/NEA/AFT/Soros/DNC party line.
Remember Obama is mulatto. He is half black, half white.
The story about Little Black Sambo is that he had to give up various items of clothing to jealous tigers so they would not eat him. The tigers chased each other around a tree faster and faster until they became a puddle of butter. In America, Sambo’s restaurant used the theme for their restaurant with a comic book. As a child I used to love the adventures of Little Black Sambo and thought nothing of it as a racial matter. Apparently it became a very heated issue and was considered racially insensitive. Sambo’s restaurants eventually were all closed except for the original one in Santa Barbara, CA., where they changed the name. From this very simple and sweet story arose a huge issue of race.
